TIMES SPORTS WRITER MIDLAND - Kimberly Derrick saved her best for last Sunday afternoon in the Dow American Cup II Short Track Speedskating Championships.
The 21-year-old Olympian from Caledonia, who skated off the women's 1,000 meter race earlier in the day, made it a clean sweep with a victory in the Super 3,000.
''I didn't plan to go out and win that last race,'' said Derrick, who led the 27-lap race from start to finish. ''Nobody passed so I just led the whole way.
