Gulf Coast Speed Skate Club members gain discipline, dedication through their participation

Members of the Gulf Coast Speed Skate Club work out at the Palace skating rink in North Fort Myers. The club trains four times a week and has members ranging in age from 5 to 43.

LOOKING FOR SPONSORS
• The Gulf Coast Speed Skate Club is looking for public and corporate sponsors who would like to support its inline skaters. The team also has a Air Miles Club Sponsorship Program that helps in reducing some of the financial responsibilities placed on skaters and families. Lynn Danko wishes more parents knew about the benefits of inline speed skating.

As treasurer of the Gulf Coast Speed Skate Club, she has seen many children gain discipline and dedication through the sport. Her team practices five days a week at either the Palace in North Fort Myers or Dunbar High School.
