Road America Inline 20k and 13k event supports Special Olympics USA

If all goes as expected, the Road America Inline 20k and 13k will double in size in just its second year.
This year's inline skating event is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, in conjunction with the AMA Suzuki Superbike Doubleheader weekend at the Elkhart Lake racetrack.
The Road America Inline 20k and 13k, for both recreational and competitive skaters, supports Special Olympics USA.
"Last year there were 80 participants from ages 10 to 66 and from pure recreational skaters to near-Olympic level athletes," event organizer Peter Starykowicz wrote in an email. "This year we expect around 150 participants and already have some registered from as far away as California."
Road America is the only U.S. track to host an inline skating event, according to Starykowicz, who added that there are a few others at other tracks around the world.
